Dr. Neuman founded Twin Peaks Veterinary Center to combine high quality client and patient care, state-of-the-art medical equipment and services, and a staff of committed veterinary professionals under one roof. Five years as an emergency veterinarian convinced her that it was important that Twin Peaks Veterinary Center offer not only preventative medicine for furry family members, but also evening and weekend urgent care services. With those elements in place, the full slate of veterinary services required to keep the canine and feline members of your family healthy are offered.
Dr. Rebecca Laton graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. She worked in Alexandria, Minnesota for several years in a mixed animal practice. For her first few years she worked with dairy, elk, small ruminants and small animals. Dr. Laton transitioned to smalll animal medicine exclusively by her fifth year in practice. Dr. Laton has been in Tucson since 2010 and joined Twin Peaks Veterinary Center in 2012. When not working, Dr. Laton spends her time enjoying her 2 adopted daughters from China. She also loves to travel, quilt and read.
Dr. Brian Shear grew up in Missouri and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in biology. He then worked in a research lab for 3 years prior to attending veterinary school at Mississippi State University; graduating in 2007. Dr. Shear’s interests are surgery and wound care. He lives with is wife Renee, their two cats and their two dogs. In his spare time he enjoys target shooting, motorcycle racing, hiking and exploring the surrounding desert and mountains.
Dr. Laura Battraw graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 2014. She worked as a veterinary technician during and before attending vet school. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats as well as traveling, cooking and reading.
Dr. Scott Miller was born and raised in South Bend, IN. He graduated from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr. Miller has practiced in several different states throughout his career including Minnesota, Indiana, Arizona, Kentucky and Illinois. In efforts to further advance his veterinary expertise, Dr. Miller has completed a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Tucson, practiced emergency and critical care at Louisville Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services and also completed a specialty internship in dermatology at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital. His special interests include internal medicine and dermatology. Dr. Miller’s hobbies include hiking, rock climbing and disc golf. He is an avid music fan and enjoys playing guitar, watching college football (Go IRISH!), and vegging out to NetFlix. He lives with his girlfriend Frannie and their 2 dogs; Abbie, a crazy and demanding lab (nicknamed Fish) and Tucker, a sophisticated and courteous shepherd mix (nicknamed Bug).
Dr. Maggie Johnson graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and joined Twin Peaks Veterinary Center in June of 2017. Prior to joining Twin Peaks she was doing clinical work in Australia. Dr. Johnson is a Tucson Native and enjoys spending her time hiking, running with her dog, Cain, and traveling.
