For Veterinarians
Twin Peaks Veterinary Center readily provides special services for patients referred by other veterinary clinics. These include urgent care during evening and weekend hours, and the option to arrange staffing for 24 hour monitoring for surgical aftercare, monitored treatment, or a pet’s extended recovery from illness or injury. For an estimate of the cost of supportive care or hospitalization for a patient, please call our clinic at (520) 572-8300.
Our clinic offers state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory equipment, a fully equipped operating room, onsite digital radiographs, an intensive/critical care unit, and an isolation ward for in-hospital care of patients with infectious disease (Parvo, Feline upper respiratory infections, etc).
Equally as important, Twin Peaks Veterinary Clinic is committed to keeping owners and referring veterinarians completely informed about the treatments administered to their pets, and about a patient’s progress during their stay with us. This includes electronic, written and verbal updates during the pet’s stay with us, as well as a complete electronic report at the end of the visit. If one of your patients is seen at Twin Peaks Veterinary Center, a full medical record will be sent to your office upon their discharge and clients will be referred back to their primary care veterinarian for follow up care.
Urgent Care, Post-operative Monitoring and 24 hour Hospitalization
A referring veterinarian can arrange for Twin Peaks Veterinary Center to provide 24 hour hospitalization or supportive care for a patient as follows:
- The referring veterinarian or clinic staff member should call our clinic at (520) 572-8300 to make an appointment for treatment, or to alert us that a patient will be coming to see us on a walk-in basis. We can provide a preliminary estimate of costs over the phone. However, the client will be asked to review and sign a more complete estimate after initial assessment prior to their pet’s admission.
- Referrals are accepted 7 AM to 11 PM Thursday through Monday. We would appreciate the referring veterinarian or clinic staff completing a Twin Peaks Veterinary Referral Form to insure we keep your clinic updated on your patient’s care and progress. A map is included on the referral form for your client’s convenience.
- Medical records and all relevant lab work for the pet should be provided to our clinic before the appointment via FAX (520-572-2289) or email (appointment@twinpeaksvet.com), or they may be delivered by the client at the time of appointment.
- The client should be asked to bring all information they have available about the pet’s health to our clinic when they come. This should include vaccination records, X-rays, test results, and the pet’s current medications/diet. Again, we ask that the referring veterinarian complete a Twin Peaks Veterinary Referral Form, and send the form to us prior to the client’s arrival, or have the client bring the form when they come to our clinic.
